Threefer to celebrate '18 New Year's Eve
at Semiahmoo's Packers Kitchen + Bar
One of Bellingham's newest musical groups, Threefer, will be ringing in the New Year with seaside-loving guests of Semiahmoo Resort on December 31, 2018.
The musical trio of Sharon Mayson, Katie Weed and Chuck Dingee will bring their tight harmonies to the far, far Northwest corner of Washington state on the last day of 2018.
Threefer is a sweet blend of outstanding harmonies from all three players combined with the rhythm and syncopation of Chuck's guitar and flute, Katie's violin and mandolin and Sharon's collection of percussion instruments.
All three seasoned musicians have entertained audiences for years as solo performers, songwriters, and as critical members of larger groups. They are excited to be performing for guests of the resort's Packers Kitchen + Bar from 9 pm Monday through the transition from 2018 to 2019.
The Threefer sound has been called heavenly for Katie's godlike violin playing and the angelic harmonies that the three dulcet voices create. They mix it up, however, with some mischievous improvisations on cover tunes from the Indigo Girls, Susan Werner, the Beatles, John Denver, Simon & Garfunkel and others while never taking a break. (There are always at least two band members on stage.) Threefer will also present some memorable, original tunes that celebrate the promise of a new year.
Packers is a classic Northwest eatery on the Semiahmoo Bay waterfront with an expansive view of the Canadian Gulf Islands and the lights from White Rock, Canada. Dinner reservations are needed at Packers on New Year's Eve.
